This page is a collection of people and small businesses that are part of our real life. These are the trainers, professionals, and creators we've learned from, worked with, and trust enough to recommend.
We worked with Bark Basics for everyday training and real-life skills, especially around e-collar foundations. Her approach made it possible for our dogs to earn real off-leash freedom and helped us maintain consistency across different environments and group settings.
Agility with St. Hubert’s has been about more than learning obstacles. It’s helped our dogs build confidence, body awareness, and strengthen the pawrent to dog relationship. More importantly, Gucci and Mochi have tons of fun in class.
Dock diving with Zing Zing K9 took Mochi’s love for water play to a whole other level and helped her discover a sport she genuinely loves. It’s given her a structured, confidence-building outlet, while also allowing Gucci to build strength and confidence in the water which has been especially beneficial for supporting his luxating patella.
Training & Structure
Small dogs deserve big lives. For us, that means more than playtime and cuddles. It means giving dogs opportunities to build confidence, try new things, and move through the world with curiosity and purpose. Sports like agility and dock diving have been a huge part of that journey for our dogs and they shape how we think about enrichment, structure, and what small dogs are capable of.
Care & Bodywork
Between training, sports, and outdoor adventures, Gucci and Mochi place real demands on their little bodies. Grooming, chiropractic care, and bodywork are part of how we support comfort and maintenance so they can keep showing up for the activities they love.
Cindy at The Furs Flyin' is patient and consistently does great work. She’s been grooming our dogs since they were puppies, and her ability to read dogs and move at their pace is a big reason we trust her.
Gucci has a luxating patella, which is common in small dogs, and it’s made us especially thoughtful about how we support movement and recovery. It hasn’t stopped him from training, sports, or adventures, but it does mean being proactive. Chiropractic care and bodywork help his little body stay balanced and moving well so he can keep doing the things he loves.

ModernDogNJ is a local shop we’re repeat customers of for high-quality dog gear. Their inventory is thoughtfully curated, the owner is genuinely knowledgeable, and customer service is consistently great. It’s one of the places we trust when we’re looking for things like coats or life jackets that actually hold up.
Maison de Pawz creates fun treats and themed dinners using high-quality, organic ingredients. Even Gucci, our notoriously picky eater, never turns down something from them, which says more than we ever could.
